Tutorial: How to Build Walls

For all of your castle-building needs! These walls aren't strictly from any Warcraft- like many of my other builds, but they should go well with the Warcraft 2-style towers. And I should mention; this isn't really about building multiple sorts of walls, but rather, building every wall connection you could want with a fairly complex wall (i.e.: A straight wall and its matching 90* turn).

This pixel-plan should be self-explanatory; inside of each red box is one layer of a given wall segment. Each column represents a different wall segment from top to bottom (top of the image to bottom of the image. Put another way; the bottom of each wall is at the bottom of the picture). From the left - the straight wall, the 90* turn wall, the T-intersection, the end-cap, and the all-way intersection. Then the two uphill walls; one using half-block stairs and one using regular stairs.

All of the walls can (and should) be rotated to fit your needs. All of the walls should connect to the cannon/guard/scout towers - just match the middle of the wall to the middle of the tower. It's also good to make sure you've started on the same base level - the walkways on both the towers and the walls should like up.

Of course, you can always explore the Sketchup model and use it with the towers to dream up your giant Castle or city wall.

I didn't go through and do a block count (you can check pretty easily on any sketchup drawing you've made with my components), but each segment should clock in at around 600 total blocks, and take up a 9x9 block area.
